Yoga in Schools

I am currently working in several schools, sharing Special Yoga with children. I am doing group sessions and 1:1 therapy sessions to help the children feel in a better place to learn. Some children can find school overwhelming so by giving them some time and space to practice yoga, it gives them an opportunity to balance their nervous system, breathe deeply, relax and find themselves in a better place to concentrate and learn. It is also very useful for school staff to have some experience of yoga and mindfulness, so they can share this with the children every day. I am affiliated with Special Yoga, and can work with you to arrange bespoke INSET trainings in your school for staff.

I have been delivering a yoga in schools pilot study in three primary schools in Norfolk. We had a recent publication in the online newspaper schoolsweek. Follow the link below to read the article,

Special Family Yoga

Special Family Yoga is an excellent fun, relaxing and bonding activity that the whole family can do together! It is specifically for children with additional needs and the class is adapted to include these children and their families.  We Move, breathe, stretch, balance, relax together and the idea is to then transfer these skills into their everyday life.  Children love practicing yoga with their adults and we have plenty of laughs together!   I run these sessions on the last Saturday of the month (apart from April) at 10am:

January 26th, February 23rd, March 30th and April 20th.

Classes are at Happy Om Studio, Capital House, Norwich and are £6 per person. Please get in contact if you would like to book!
